I enjoy TV, I just wish some of those stupid ads didn't play... that's
why I DVR many shows but I'm not going to DVR certain shows like the
news, what's the point of watching the news hours/days later, or other
live shows, even lots of shows that are taped are no longer current
seen later. And if I DVR too many shows I won't have time to watch
the current shows and the DVRed shows... I don't DVR many shows nor do
I watch a lot of TV... mostly I have the news on but don't watch much,
mostly I listen to it like background noise.. mostly I'm in the
kitchen but have no TV in there. Even during warm months when I'm
mostly outdoors during the day I still leave the TV on for my cats.
There are probably TVs that can automatically edit out the ads, but I
enjoy many of the ads, like the AFLAC duck, and those with big
bazoomed babes... I'll stop cooking and head into the next room when I
hear those Soma ads.
And everyone has different likes and dislikes, you don't like TV, I
do, but I don't have a radio plugged in, I don't like listening to
music, I don't use my car radio very often. Today's music isn't
music, and the oldies can be boring after hearing them over and over
for so many years. Actually you're the idiot box whose power switch I
have turned off... the only time I open your posts is in error when
I'm zipping through a thread I'm interested in, like this one that I
posted to.
