I agree. I prefer cherry tomatoes to be sliced top to bottom so that the
stem parts are on one edge where they are less obvious. I never thought
that slicing cherry tomatoes was that big a chore. As the unhelpful one
pointed out upthread it takes time to get set up. You have to go to the
cupboard and get two plates. Nobody mentioned that those plates also
have to be washed. I have having trouble seeing it as a time saver, and
I don't think the results would be worth it.
