Why in the world would I make something like that up? Her parents didn't
approve of the marriage. Neither did my friends and I but... You can't
really stop someone from getting married. Her parents did come to the
ceremony but would not go to the reception which was in West Seattle at a
hall near his apartment. She had originally asked me to be in the wedding
but for some reason at the last minute they paired back the wedding party to
just her and the best man. Which was fine by me because I didn't really
want to be in it.

Somebody had to give them a ride. They sure couldn't afford a taxi! And in
those days we didn't have seat belt laws and such. We managed to cram quite
a few people into my little Maverick or my friend's Pinto.
