I went to one where all gifts were supposed to be purchased at a gift
registry store and most of it cost many hundreds of pounds. The cheapest
item was £40 for a single cup in the designated coffee set.

At the wedding reception, all the (unwrapped) gifts were laid out on
display with the givers name. How vulgar.
