Silence can be refreshing. Most days at work there will be a period of
15 to 30 minutes with nothing happening. There are three of us where my
office is and at times, the phone is not ringing, we are not talking,
but just taking advantage of the moment. Close your eyes, relax, take a
short nap.

At home, we sometimes do the same thing. No TV, no one else home, just
the two of us reading. Gentle sounds like raindrops or birds chirping
can be nice, nothing man made.
