It's dead. Toss it. I once spent undogly amts of $$ on repairing a
high-end VCR, twice! Never again. Neither repair lasted over 6 mos
and they'll all go down the same road. My mom has 2 VCRs and 3
cassette dubbing decks. All dead. Toss 'em and move on.
