Mine is as tough as Pyrex dishes. 12 years and no problems with the
stove top. My pyrex has lasted 45.

I chose to buy it, on recommendation from an excellent and very
experienced home cook who had one.

We both cook well, we cook every day entirely on or in that stove
(don't own a microwave), and we cook almost everything fresh from
scratch.
