Nope. Sweet onions like Vidalia, Walla Walla, Texas 1015 are
trademarked and can only be grown in certain areas. They also need a
certain soil or they won't have the sweet flavor they are famous for.
OTOH, if you caramelize them, you won't know the difference in the end
result.
