It was scary, but they were stunt-people. The thought of driverless
cars scares the crap out of me. It's nice and tidy when they're all in
a row like that. No other traffic. No actual idiot drivers to deal with.
A couple of years ago I was nearly run off the two lane road that is
(Hwy 21). John and I were on our way home from Publix. The driver in
the car behind us was likely cranked up on something. They were
tailgating and I was already going (legally) 50 MPH. I thought they
were going to ram right into the back of my car. Or force me off the
road. They tried to pass me on the RIGHT, with no shoulder to speak of.
I have no idea why they were in such a friggin' hurry. The hospital
is in the other direction. Fortunately they peeled off down a side
street a few miles before the turn towards home. *That* was freaking scary.
