In my dreams it would be because commercial organic growing
practices growing practices are coming closer to that of
back yard growers.

Frankly, I've only tasted an occasional difference.
Probably because commercial growers can't pick perfectly
ripe tomatoes (or any other vegetable for that matter) and
sell them that day.
