I wouldn't dare. I did have one. It didn't fit our windows. There is no
real way to make the window secure with one of those units and our crime
rate is high here. I also don't really have any way of venting a portable
unit.

I don't think you can get any units for that price here. The one that I got
10 years ago was around $300 and it was a small one.
