Maybe she has enough of a life that she does not be tethered to an
electronic leash all the time. I have a cell phone only because my son
let me his old one, and I have what is basically an emergency use plane
that gives me 55 minutes a month. That's about 50 minutes more than I
use each month. I take it with me if I go out hiking or bicycling in
case of emergencies and I need help. I may occasionally call home to ask
my wife something, to see if she needs anything while I am out.
Sometimes it is handy to have left it turned on so I can call it and
listen for the ring to help me find it. After several days of sitting
around the house on standby it is often out of juice when I want to take
it with me.
