Around here we have a rather good transit system (
http://tapsbus.com ).
You can get door to door service over a very wide area for a couple
bucks, and they also have a great airport shuttle service that will get
me from my door to either of the major airports here (DFW or DAL) for
$40 each way (it's about 75 miles), and they have WiFi on the bus too.
