You're a tiresome ****, but I've been meaning to weigh in on this Swamp Cooler issue. I lived in Southern California for a lot of my life. We had no Central AC. Just a window unit in the Family Room. But we had a swamp cooler and it was really effective. I think it's one of those things that only make sense in extremely humidity-free environments. It was routinely over 100 in Ontario, CA, and the swamp cooler made it very bearable.
