I sort of got into the habit of Friday shopping because I used to stop
at the grocery store on the way home from work, pick up fresh salmon,
salad fixings, fresh Italian bread and a bottle of wine. That gave us
nice fresh fish for our Friday night supper.... nothing religious about
it. When I was working shifts I still did the shopping on Fridays so my
wife would not have to.
The Friday shopping became part of my routine, but I combine it with
other trips. My wife seems to be more hung up on the Friday thing that I
am and I would just as well wait until we start running out of things.
Let the fridge get emptied a bit before we have to worry about finding
room for things.
