I had a hacker with (of all places) WalMart in SoCal about three years
ago. The idiot who hacked my credit card info (I have no idea how he
did it, I'm very careful) was stupid enough to use *my* email to confirm
purchases he made at a WalMart. As a result of his stupidity, I got an
email confirmation: your order is ready for pickup.

WTH?! I immediately called that WalMart location. Do NOT let this
person pick up anything! Call the police. I don't know them. I
haven't been in Southern California since 1967.

I then called my bank and told them to cancel the card. It did take a
couple of days for them to send me a replacement.

To give WalMart credit, they responded immmediately. They had cops
waiting for this guy when he came in to pick up a television and some
other items he had ordered. He was promptly arrested. My card wasn't
charged.
