Pupusas were being discussed here, they sounded interesting so I
decided to make some. As I was making them, I had a deja vous moment,
darn, if I haven't made these before, then it hit me, yes I did. Years
ago I made something very similar but we called them huaraches, they
had a filling like the pupusas but were also topped with beans,
cheese, lettuce onion and crema.
These I kept true to the Salvadoran way. They are delicious, I served
them with my "kickin' screamin'" hot sauce and some red onions I
pickled.
