As far as I know, the PlayStation 4 outsells the Xbox One by a wide margin. The common belief is that Microsoft loses money on every unit it sells. OTOH, Sony's consumer electronics division has fallen on tough times. My sister-in-law worked for them and it seemed like a complete rout and chaos. My guess is that the Sony name will be about as big as Sylvania and Magnavox as far as consumer electronics goes shortly.
