From what I have heard and read, most people never do replace the filter.
And I know that I would not be good to replace it which is why I would not
get that kind.

I was reading the other day why it is not a good idea to wash our ice cube
trays out all the time between uses and the author just assumed that we did.
I don't unless I am making something in them that isn't water or if for
whatever reason they don't look clean. I merely rinse. Anyway... The
article went on to say that beneficial minerals will build up each time you
use them but if you wash, you are washing those away.
