Those are not what are traditionally known as dinner salads. Those are
meals. A dinner salad is usually some greens with perhaps other raw
veggies. I know of one place in CA that put kidney beans on it. Just a
few. Some places will give you a few olives. Sometimes cucumbers. Less
likely, cheese. Less likely still, sunflower seeds. But most of the time
it is a mix of lettuce, cabbage and carrots, with or without croutons.

Of course I know that eggs are used in salads. Just not dinner salads.
Perhaps they go by some other name where you are? Also known as side salads
or garden salads. If you are given a choice of soup or salad before the
meal, this is the salad you would get. It's small and not intended to be
the meal.
