I'm not sure I'd consider it a compliment. Maybe they are at the point in the marriage where every peccadillo becomes harder to tolerate. I suggest a separate vacation for each of them.

I wonder what she'd call HIM if she were lodging a beef about his ways.

I burned myself by placing a metal lid on an off but still-hot burner, then picked it up - YEEOWWW. But had no one to blame but the self.
