This is why I decided to buy a Blend-Tec. That and the way that it is
set up, with the gearing below the bowl and a shaft hooking into a
washable geartrain / beater set.
It's quite a bit more expensive but the warranty is excellent and they
are made in America.
Now, a long time ago when I was in high school, I took "foods" class.
We had a Kitchen-Aid floor-mounted mixer that probably was WWII
surplus. It broke a kid's wrist and just kept on going!
