Sorry to butt in...

My SO bought an acorn squash (copycat!) after I told him I'd roasted a
couple of them. He was complaining about the temps a few days ago. He
asked about cooking the squash, should he use the microwave or oven? I
said damn, when it's *that* cold of course use the oven for the extra
heat! Microwave is fast and works just fine, but don't bitch about the
cold temps when you can bake that squash and help heat the house.
