I'm guessing it's a nod to the golfers who want a drink when they reach
the proverbial 19th Green and should maybe have a bite to eat.
They only have to pay the bartender(s) and have minimal staff to clear
and clean the tables. The hot dogs are self-serve so no waitstaff
required. The soup is kept warm in crock pots. It's likely yesterday's
soup of the day, whatever that happened to be.

We've probably all known someone like that at one time or another.
the lamb I'm cooking. I bought a small bottle of Pinot Noir for the
splash of light red wine I need to deglaze the pan. Red wine (the
tannins) bothers me so I don't drink it. The rest of that bottle will
likely sit for a long time. Maybe I can find a use for it in a
marinade. I'll have to do some searches.
