I do the same at some types of foods. Generally Don and i enjoy
cooking but if Lumpia was more reasonably priced, I might buy it.
Reality is you can make 50 LARGE lumpia for about 7$. The only hassle
is separating the liners if you use the real paper thin ones that
crunch up to perfection. If you cheat and use the thicker spring roll,
they go pretty fast. Say, 20 minutes to roll 50 once wrapper is
separated.
So, because they want 45$ for 50 SMALL ones here, I make my own.
