The first major concert I attended was enough for me. I saw the Beatles
on Toronto in 1965. The only music I heard was the opener, King Curtis.
Once the Beatles cam on stage all I could hear was thousands of teen age
girls scream hysterically. I never heard a note of their music.

However..... I got to see Jimmy Hendrix.... and didn't realize it more
more than 30 years. I learned that the guitarist for King Curtis on
that tour was Hendrix. Unfortunately, at the age of 14 I was not into R&B.

The experience turned me off the big concert thing. I prefer to catch
live music at smaller venues like bars or open air concerts. The best
open air concert I ever saw was Jeff Healey. It was a beautiful summer
night and the opener was the Downchild Blues Band.
