Why wait to turn it on? It takes a few minutes to circulate the
refrigerant to blow cold air. Meantime, the hot air is going out the
windows. Mine goes on as soon as I start the car. In the case of hot
weather like today, I'm going to start the car with the remote and let
the AC run a few minutes before I go out.
