Do you people not know how fans work? Yes, given the right situation, they
can suck hot air out and vent it outside. That won't work in this house.
They work to cool the body off by blowing on it. Therefore, I need a lot of
them in various places. Sure I could do what some people do and carry one
around with me but... I prefer to have them sitting where I need them. And
they may not all be on at once. I currently have only one going. The one
by the sliding door. Our weather is cooler today and will be tomorrow and
yet it has only gone down to 75 degrees in here.

When I worked at the golf course, it was commonly 100 degrees in the pro
shop and like an oven out in the clearance section. The dining room (rarely
used) was a pleasant temperature as was the restaurant portion. The ladies
restroom was like a freezer and the mens restroom wasn't much better.
Someone explained to me why this was. Had something to do with where the
sensors were placed. But why they never corrected the problem was beyond
me.

We did have a huge fan in there behind the counter. And you had better
believe that we stood in front of it when we were stuck in there. When not
stuck in there, we either ran outside which was almost always cooler or in
the dining room if we could manage it. We were not supposed to go in there
but sometimes things just got too unbearable and it was either that or get
heat exhaustion.

Yes, the big fan was blowing hot air but it was the blowing part that helped
to cool us off, even if only a little bit.
