The mailboxes on my street are on posts by the edge of the pavement. Why this guy doesn't have one, I don't know, but I have seen him putting outgoing mail into another guy's box.

PO boxes are still a real bargain, if one has certain things to hide and doesn't mind the trip. Gee, maybe I'll get one, just in case. I doubt 666 will be available again, however.
