Back in the mid 1970s first Delta, then some other airlines had a "kids
fly free" promotion. We took advantage of it and flew to California to
visit my brother. About half of the 747 was kids of all ages. It was
like a school trip, only airborne. The flight crew did not seem to be
enjoying it so much.
