I said I knew that other sizes were available. I did not look to see if
those sizes were on the shelf because I wasn't going to buy them. I did buy
some of the little plastic cups but they did not get eaten. I just found it
odd that the stores I have checked so far had all other form of fruit in
that size can but no pears. I had not thought of what Doris pointed out.
That pears are not in season and perhaps they have run out of that size can.
Actually *my* pears should probably be ripe sooner than normal with all this
heat. But they are very undersized and haven't gotten decent water so they
might not make for good eating.
