Ever since you mentioned it I have been buying sweet corn at the farm
stand and putting it directly into the freezer, no blanching. I don't
even bother putting it in a bag. You're absolutely right, it tastes
like I just brought it home. I don't have a garden. I've also never
had the opportunity to pick an ear and bite into it while standing in
the middle of a corn field.
