So true, but the flag-waving components that typify a cuisine (from the
vantage of the outsider) do seem to dominate perspective.

That said, when I think of sauerkraut, sausages and potatoes, I think
of Colmar and Strasbourg in Alsace! Which, for the past few years, has
been French!

Not all French food is coq au vin!
