It took 10 MINUTES for two people to shuck 24 ears of
corn??? Did they have one arm each?

I'm surprised there wasn't one there. In the Old Days, corn
had one side stipped so people could see kernal development
down the entire length of the ear. In the interest of
saving money on labor they don't do it anymore, so instead
they provide bins for people to throw corn shucks.
