This reminds me of a story I heard on the local television station
morning newscast. Referring to a bank robbery, the teleprompter reader
said the bank was robbed by "two gentlemen" wearing masks. This makes
me wonder how much emphasis the station managers put on "intelligence"
and command of the English language when they hire the "talent" to
appear on camera.
