Yes, bars today are making their own syrups, tonics, and bitters and you can customize to your own imagination. There are a lot of ideas out there. I googled around and put together my own cobbled up recipe for the tonic syrup I'm going to make. I have a soda stream and using that and making my own syrup saves a ton of money plus it's fun to do.
