I can't understand it, given how hygiene-conscious Americans are.
(Also, without being rude, you have such a high number of people so
seriously obese they must struggle to reach their own backsides to wipe
the TP)

Over here, lots of baby-boomer older people I know are quietly
adapting their homes for their future personal care whenever they become
infirm. Downstairs bathroom refitted with bidet and walk-in, wheelchair-
access shower, is very popular.
