Most of the USAins DO have unclean butts. Ophy gave the best analogy.
If you get poo on your hands, would you wash the hands well, or just
wipe them off with a paper towel? USAins just cover up the smelly
parts with underwear and pants. Even Sheldon would turn down those
two.

Without a bidet, best to at least moisten some tp and give the bum a
quick wash.
