I'm not talking about taking only what you need. I'm talking about the
people who split all the bananas on a couple or more bunches and take one
from here, one from there, etc., leaving a whole lot of individual
bananas in the wake.

I check for cracked eggs. If I find one, I move on to the next carton,
but I don't take the "best" from several cartons to make up one of my
own.
