So what... a chef's salad is a meal and can be served with bread,
crackers, croutons, or not. Most restaurants serve a steak with a
bread basket but by the time most folks eat their steak and baked spud
they don't want any bread. Most times soups served at restaurants are
served with crackers or bread because they serve small amounts, often
just a cup of soup... however sometimes soups are served IN bread and
that makes an entire meal. My hearty soups need no bread, they are
too filling. My soup bowls hold 28 ounces, even when I don't fill
them few people can handle seconds or anything else. You probably
have never eaten real soup, that watery pish vasser you talk about
from a crackpot ain't soup.
