I like Cook's Illustrated but I don't like every issue. In fact, I rarely
buy it. The price of most magazines is so insane now that I buy very few.
I do actually get a lot that I so not pay for. Ed would object if I said
they were free. I get them through Mercury magazines. I am not sure how I
got hooked up with them. Perhaps through a survey site or something. All I
know is that I don't pay anything for them.
