Happy birthday! I'm glad you got a rental, and all work comped.

I've had two experiences with stupid mechanics that I know of. One where
they lowered my car down from the lift and started it up, and it lurched
forward into the closed garage door. Dented the door badly but didn't
seem to do any damage to my car. The other time I didn't discover it
until a few months later but it could have only been the last mechanic
that lifted the hood. The hood lift cable had snapped so pulling on the
lever didn't disengage the hook holding the hood down. I had to fight
with them to pay to fix it.
