Yes it's infected if it hurts. Red, warm, swollen and hurts is infected.
Hope you have a good immune system! Nothing you can do but heal normally
now. Should have immediately washed it out good and applied a clean dry
bandage and maybe some neosporin and an exam glove if you were going to
continue to get your hand wet. And repeat any time the bandage gets wet,
each and every time.

I followed strict clean and dryness of a cut when I cut my finger once, and
it healed up infection free! Clean cut, healed in about a week and 1/2. And
NO infection!! I'm an RN I know about infection control.

Any advice for my broken leg? It is hurting a lot.
