I had gnocchi with a brown butter sauce, then veal roast with a mushroom
flan and white asparagus. Wife had prosciutto with a fried bread dough,
followed by lamb chop with greens.
The valpolicella was the most expensive single bottle of wine I ever
bought, but it was probably the best I've ever bought. It was a special
occasion so I went for it when the server said it would be great with
our meals. It was. In the past I've always topped out at $33 to $35.
