I broke down and bought an electric VillaWare Quattro....makes four at a
time...
Here's my Mom's recipe for the traditional version:
3 eggs
1 3/4 C all purp flour
1/2 tsp anise seed or 1/2 tsp extract or 1 Tbs of anisette liquor
1/2 C melted butter
2 tsp baking powder
1 tps pure vanilla
Southern Italian Version
6 eggs
7 cups all purp flour
2 C sugar
1 tsp anise seed
1 C melted butter, margerine or oil
$ Tbs baking powder
2 tsp vanilla
