Dinner tonight 05/06/2016
Boiled old-crop red potatoes. Oven fried pork shoulder steak using cast iron pan...pork seasoned with poultry seasoning, garlic salt and ground black pepper.
Old crop yellow wax beans (cleaning out the fridge).
Pumpkin pie with vanilla flavored ice-cream to follow later.
The secret to even cooking of pork steak (as we amateur cooks soon learned), is so slash all around the steak every half inch or so to prevent buckling and twisting.
