I don't get it? I usually just whip out my credit card, stick it in
their card reader and leave. How can it be an improvement to flip
through my iphone apps, turn on the Walmart app, scan some image?

Please, somebody keep that person from getting in front of me who sets
her pocket book the size of a diaper bag on the counter, starts
rumbling through it searching for her 20th Century style check book,
finally pulls out the check book to write a check and tells the
Cashier there is no ink in her pen. Now the Cashier starts looking all
over the store to find a manager with a pen.
