As usual, taking my words out of context. In referring to women IN
CANADA who wear niqab or hajib I said I would defend their right to
wear it.
In point of fact, just because some Muslim women wear it does not mean
they are part of an 'extreme' branch of Islam. A Palestinian friend
wears a hajib and she has lovely amber coloured eyes. I have teased
her that she is half as stunning without her hajib as when she is
wearing it, particularly a very lovely light mauve one.
