I actually like that "reminder" feature. I timed mine last night. Once
it ends, it beeps 4 times. If you leave it in it will beep 3 times ever
120 seconds, not 60 seconds.

I often heat food in a few phases. I use that 120 second reminder to
remind to turn it on again for a bit. By pausing, it lets all the heat
spread so all is the same even temp.
