You can use fried Spam as an interesting alternative to a burger patty.
The trick is to slice the loaf parallel to the big, roughly square, side
instead of the end, then fry it to your preference for doneness. This
will just about cover a standard 5-inch hamburger bun.
Top with sliced tomato, a slice of cheese, mustard, dill pickle slices,
raw onion slice and lettuce.
Or top with BBQ sauce and coleslaw.
